We all have been to Goa but have you ever been to South Goa Beaches? Yes ! One need to explore the hidden beaches of Goa. South Goa is different! The beaches are serene and all you have to do there is sit back and relax.
The West Konkan region has beaches one must never miss and has the best hidden beaches in Goa. I have heard all my life that South Goa is amazing for its beauty and white sandy beaches and this time I planned to reach straight there.
We reached Goa by morning flight from Delhi and by 8 a.m I reached the beach. A different world in no time. I took the perfect picture of the sand in my toe and wind in my hair and realized that yes my vacation has started. It’s no ordinary vacation its Goa Vacation!
Hotels in Goa are one of the best options to explore too. We checked in at the Palm Beach Resort during the summer time. The travel bug has bitten us and summer or winter when Goa calls it’s always the best time to visit. Next, stop my resort pool and chillout time. But, soon we felt the waves calling us back towards the beaches. And, why not we were in South Goa the beach heaven.
We started our beach hopping from the Colva Beach and moved ahead to find the hidden beaches in Goa.
So we reach the Colva beach and enjoyed good times. I always google about the best locations while I travel and I learned that the Benaulim is one of the best locations to go. Without wasting time we packed our bags and hired a scooter and started traveling ”Dil Chahta Hai” Style to “Benaulim“.
Scooter drive is fun and easy, in no time we reached Benaulim and checked into a shack for lunch. Sitting on a wooden chair and sea breeze we ordered our favorite food and summer chillers. In a minute the wind was inviting us to walk on white sandy beaches and reach the water. The beach was empty.We said hello to the beautiful waves and come back to enjoy the lunch.
Knowing that change is the only constant and with change, we get the best of both the worlds I was already planning my next beach destination Varca!
With sunset time approaching we wanted to reach the very famous Varca beach and now heading for the third beach we were all set for the beach hopping. Next, we reach Varca and spent a beautiful evening there.
Varca is real fun if you stay at the luxurious resort and I love all of the options be it Taj Exotica or Leela or Zuri. I planned to visit all good options and choose one to stay and make this trip super luxurious. After all, travel n lifestyle is all that matters.We entered beautiful palm resort of Leela Kempinski and walked towards the private beach. We spent the evening watching the Sun and its hues.
In the night we were hoping for a party scene like we have in North Goa and looking for a place like Curlies, but soon we realized Curlies is not for South Goa. People living in South Goa shared that they like evenings to be more peaceful and for a change, we were okay with that decision.That’s how South Goa is different and fun at the same time!

Next day, we head for more of South Goa. As we moved ahead we realized this was just a beginning of our beautiful adventure, there’s so much more to see and explore this destination. Traveling brings back so many surprises and these are like gifts for us. We reached better and better beaches as we moved ahead. We moved to Palolem, Agonda, and few more hidden beaches, I will share more on the same in my next blog.
