Punjabi cuisine is world famous. The butter chicken and fish from Amritsar is a must to try. But for vegetarian food lovers like me there is Kesar Da Dhaba (restaurant) in Amritsar which offered this platter with bread and pulses so yum that I am drooling while writing .Its Daal and Kulcha for you ! special daal, cooked overnight on a slow flame, & laccha parantha. They use pure desi ghee in all of their preparations and a meal here will definitely have a hypnotic effect on you!!!Till you visit Punjab you can search for nearest Punjabi restaurant and try the local version in your city . I am sure you will enjoy the authentic delicious food .
It is advisable to learn a few Punjabi words and meet the locals who are very welcoming. They welcome you with a huge hug called as “Jappi” in Punjabi language.
